My name is Janile D and I’m a freshman in the class of 2014. Something that most people don’t know about me is that my last name in Arabic means pin. My favorite things to do outside of school are roller skating, swimming, and hanging out with my friends. My best subject in school is math and my worst subject, sadly, is English. So this is going to be an interesting year.
I have many goals that I’d like to share. For example, in my Spanish class I want to be able to speak Spanish fluently. For EDA I hope to learn more about computers and how they work. Since I am horrible at geography I hope that I will be able to know every country in the world and learn how to give directions. In biology I’d like to learn more about the human body and how it works. In geometry I really want to get an A since math is my stronger subject. For English I want to be able to spell more words correctly, use more vocabulary, and read more.
Next I’m going to talk about my goals for my family. First of all, I want to be nicer to my brother, Travis, not get into as many fights with him. Second, I’m going to help my mom with work around the house and maybe start making my bed every morning. For my dad, hopefully, I’ll cut back on my spending. All my relatives live far away so I'd like to be able to talk to them more and get together often. The most important thing that I want to accomplish for my family is to make them proud of me.

Now I will talk about my friends and socializing. When i first found out I was coming here, the obstacle that I thought would be the hardest for me to deal with was that some of my closest friends were going to BHS. So my goal for them is to keep in touch and hang out more. Another problem I have to deal with is to be less shy in class. Speaking of classes, I need to ask more questions when I don't know or get something. Also, I want to meet at least five new people in each of my classes. So I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.
Finally, I'm going to talk about being healthy and keeping myself fit. My goal for keeping myself healthy is to eat more fruits and vegetables. I'll also try to eat on schedule not just when I feel like it. Something I should do, but probably won't is quit drinking soda or at least drink only one can a week. When I go to the YMCA I will give one hundred percent of my effort to do every exercise the right way so I will get the most out of the workout. Also, I should spend less time on the computer and more time playing outside.
In conclusion, I know that I need to put all my time and energy into everything I do if I want to make it perfect. Weather it's at school or at home. In the end I hope that I will succeed in all the things I put my mind too.
